Advancing Education in Alignment with National and Global Priorities
In alignment with Afghanistan’s National Development Strategy and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), education remains a central pillar of PACo’s strategic interventions. Recognizing both access and quality as foundational principles, PACo is committed to deliver inclusive, equitable, and high-impact educational services across Afghanistan.
Our education-focused initiatives are designed to address critical gaps while promoting longterm, sustainable change. These include:
- Literacy and Early Childhood Education: Supporting literacy programs, pre-school education, and community-based schools to ensure foundational learning, especially in underserved areas.
- Capacity Building: Enhancing the skills and competencies of teachers and school management staff through targeted training and development programs.
- Educational Infrastructure: Constructing and rehabilitating schools, including the development of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) facilities, to provide safe, inclusive, and conducive learning environments.
- Learning Resources and Facilities: Equipping schools with essential educational materials, including libraries, science laboratories, and computer labs, to foster practical and innovative learning experiences.
- Specialized Learning Opportunities: Offering science and international language courses to both school students and graduates, promoting readiness for higher education and global engagement.
- Community-Based Learning: Facilitating literacy and REFLECT circles with a particular focus on empowering girls and women who have been historically deprived of educational opportunities.
Through these targeted interventions, PACo reaffirms its commitment to supporting national priorities and contributing to the global education agenda, ensuring that all learners, regardless of gender or geography, have the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
